Employee Classes Agent Action
Define how employees are grouped for ICHRA eligibility. Classes determine contribution amounts and benefit rules for each segment of the employer's workforce.
- Create employee classes based on the employer's workforce structure and needs
- Add age band subclasses under a class if the employer wants age-based contributions
- Define contribution amounts for employees and their dependents per class or subclass
The 3:1 Rule
When using age band subclasses, the oldest employee's contribution
cannot exceed 3 times the youngest employee's contribution within the same class.
